  The use of CE methods for the separation of chiral compounds has become increasing popular in recent years.Cyclodextrins are the most important chiral selectors used in CE in addition to proteins, crown ethers, and macrocyclic antibiotics.In this paper, the separation of the enantiomers of pantoprazole was investigated using charged sulfobutylether-β-cyclodextrin (SBE-β-CD) as chiral selector, and the mechanism of enantioselective recognition was studied.Operation parameters including runnig buffer pH, selector concentration, type and concentration of organic modifiers and applied voltage on the enantioseparation were investigated.An uncoated fused-silica capillary with a total length of 55cm (effective length 38cm) ×50um i.d.was used as the separation channel.
