The purposes of this report is to clarify the logic based on which upward phases and downward phases of the rice price occurred which our country s rice market experienced during the period from the year of 2011 to 2014,and to examine the characteristics of the competition among production regions in the current downward phase.The research method is,after seizing the supply and demand trends of the entire rice market,to examine the current phase of the competition among production regions by dealing with major branded breeds produced during 2013 and by Mach 2014 in Hokkaido,Tohoku and Niigata as the analysis subjects.
