[Objective]To investigate the rapid detection of Vibrio vulnificus.Vibrio vulnificus is a marine bacteria found worldwide in warm coastal waters. The pathogens have been associated with serious wound infections and aquaculture economic losses.[Methods]In this study,The suspicious vibrio vulnificus is screened by Thiosulfate citrate bile salts sucrose agar culture medium (TCBS) and vibrio chromogenic medium and identified by morphological features, physiological and biochemical characteristics and phylogenetic analysis of VvhA gene sequence.[Results]The results showed that there were 5 vibrio vulnificus in 158 bacteria screened from seawater and identified by the identical electrophoresis band in comparison with the standard bacteria ATCC 27562.[Conclusion]We use conventional selective medium, traditional physiological and biochemical identification to establish a rapid detection of Vibrio vulnificus. It has practical value in detecting Vibrio vulnificus.
