Biogenetic nano-palladium (bio-Pd) is attracting increasing attention recently due to its environmental friendly synthesis route.Using electrode to deliver reducing power to bio-Pd was proposed as a safety and flexible approach for implementing its reductive catalytic activity (RCA).In this study,we demonstrated that Pd nanoparticles were capable synthesized by and on electro-active Geobacter biofilm (biofilm-Pd) which prior grew on glass carbon electrode (GCE),which revealed significant enhanced RCA for hydrogen evolution and nitrobenzene reduction compared to that synthesized by Geobacter suspension and then coated on electrode (coated bio-Pd).
