This study was designed to assess the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and preliminary efficacy of BC-819 administered intratumorally in subjects with unresectable, locally advanced pancreatic cancer.BC-819 is a DNA plasmid that targets the expression of diphtheria toxin gene under the control of H19 regulatory sequences.H19 RNA is present at high levels in human cancer tissues, while existing at a nearly undetectable level in the surrounding normal tissue.
