Investigation was performed to explore the possibility of improving heat release efficiency of white LEDs using luminescent low-temperature co-fired ceramics(LTCC)in place of phosphor.The illumination spectral was generated by the combination of InGaN chip with CaO-B2O3-SiO2: Dy3+ based luminescent LTCC.Compared with the traditional phosphor-epoxy coated method,the luminescent LTCC based packaging structure provide better performance in radiating,reducing cost and thus simplifying structure.
