Purpose : Choosing the suit matrix for FFHZ semisolid controlled release capsule.The effect of different matrix on the release behavior of resveratral and polydatin from FFHZ semisolid capsule was studie, Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, polyglycol 4000, 6000, 20000, starch, ethylcellulose, lactose were choosed as the matrix.Methods : The extraction of FFHZ was mixed with the matrix at 75~C,agitateed until mixed well, and then loaded in capsule.The vivo experiment was carded out with Beagle dogs.HPLC method used as the analysis method.Results : comparing to the capsule of the dry powder of FFHZ, all the prescription showed a sustained release patten in different drgree, The concentration of resveratral, and polyglycol in the sertLrn was lower than dry powder capsule of FFZH, but the release time was prolonged to 2 to 10h s.All kinds of polyglycol could raise the bioavailability of the FFHZ, easpecially for polyglycol 6000, comparing the effect of matrix on the bioavailability of FFZH capsule, lactose ,starch has little difference, HPMC could decrease the bioavaillity of the drugs and EC could increase the bioavaility of the drugs, Conclusion : Matrixs could affect the release behaivor ofresveratral and polydatin, choosing the suit matrix could controlled the release rate of the TCM preparation.The semimatrix capsule is the suit form for TCM controlled release preparation
