An effective and facile synthesis route of AlN microspheres via combining sol-gel method and gas reduction nitridation method was proposed in this work.High quality AlN microspheres have been successfully synthesized from an amorphous precursor at 1200 ℃ in the flow of NH3.The average size of the precursor microspheres was adjustable by tuning the water-bath temperature and impacts the final products.Compared to spherical AlN reported in other literatures, the AlN microspheres introduced in this work exhibit high degree of crystallinity, regular spherical morphology, controllable particle size, narrow particle size distribution.In combination with the extensive application of AlN, this low cost and high production synthesis route is convenient to be popularized and applied.
