调味品是典型的"经验性商品",作为我国传统产业,是名副其实的"小产品". 近年来,随着社会经济的发展,消费水平的提高,调味品产品越来越趋向专业化,功能化,市场需求不断增长.调味品行业已经形成一个年销售额过千亿的大市场,调味品产业"小产品,大市场"格局正在形成.调味品从传统的意义解释,就是调味的物质,做为食品不可缺少的伙伴,与人们的日常生活息息相关,其标准日益成为行业内普遍关注的热点.构建调味品标准化体系,正确实施现行的食品安全国家标准、地方标准和企业标准,是实现从农田到餐桌全过程安全监控,依标生产健康美味的技术保障.要正确实施调味品食品安全标准，实现生产、检验、销售全程标准化，实现调味品生产标准化，用检验方法做支撑，发挥行业协会作用，引导调味品企业生产自律。
