Aim We conducted a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) to investigate whether the right lateral position (RLP), after the patient ingestion the capsule, shortens the gastric transit time (GTT) and increases the rate of complete examination rate (CER) secondarily.Design MEDLINE, EMBASE, PUBMED, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled trials & Database of Systematic Reviews, VIP database,WANFANG date, WEB OF SCIENCE and CNKI were searched for published studies in all languages.Inclusion and exclusion criteria were defined a priori.Pooled mean difference (MD), odds ratios (ORs), and heterogeneity were estimated as the measures of association.
