Second Generation Sequencing (SGS),quickly changed the way genetic research conducted,has been emerged for more than a decade.During the past decade,tremendous progress has been made in terms of speed,read length,throughput,along with a sharp reduction in per-base cost.Thus these advances democratized SGS and paved the way for the development of novel SGS applications.Forensic genetic scientists have also explored SGS technologies,especially in the last two year.
