The steganographic method based on Gibbs construction attempts to minimize nonadditive distortior. However, it cannot outperform the state-of-the-art steganographic schemes which try to minimize additive distortion. In this paper, we propose a method to utilize the interactions among embedding changes so as to reduce the risk of being detectable by steganalysis. The novelty of the proposed method is that it employs a strategy called clustering modification directions (CMD).The strategy utilizes the fact that when embedding changes in textural regions are locally heading towards the same direction, the steganographic security can be improved.Experiments show that our proposed steganographic method can effectively exploit embedding impacts and dramatically improve the performance of current schemes.
