For its high strength, light weight and noncorrosive, fiber reinforced plastic(FPR) bar has been introduced in reinforced concrete structure to replace traditional steel bar.In spite of the high cast and some technique problems, the lack of ductility and brittle fail mode of current pultrusion FRP bar are impediments on material properties to its widespread application.In the current study, a useful method is presented here to overcome this shortcoming.
