This article will discuss three perspectives of the humanities from the perspective of American higher education. What I would like to point out is the connection between these three points of view and the importance of understanding these three points of view for today’s medical humanities. These three humanities perspectives are: A set of disciplinary perspectives A student perspectives of moral development A helpful friend’s perspective A set of disciplinary perspectives I think most American universities and medical humanities institutions today view people from this perspective literature. Humanities include philosophy, ethics, history, literature, religion and other disciplines. Social sciences are also often included in this group of disciplines because of their qualitative approach to research. This can be found by examining the representative catalogs of American universities and some of the different faculties included in the “Academy of Liberal Arts.”
