Nowadays,modern search engine systems summarize each Web document briefly which facilitates the taskof finding the desired documents．This paper presents a fuzzy evolutionary computation approach(FECA)for extrae—tive sunmmrization. Several fuzzy logic-based parameters are utilized to adaptively regulate the behaviors of the evolu—tionary computation．which can effectively prevent convergence to a premature local optunum．We perlorm expert—ments on test sets DUC01 and DUC02，and the results show that our approach aehieves performanee as good as orbetter than some latest summarization systems．
