The paper aims to examine the moderating role of customer knowledge and trust in internet banking(IB)adoption in Indonesia,using The Technology Acceptance Model as basis for theoretical framework.The proposed model hypothesize the moderating effect of these variables on the relationship of perceived ease of use as well as perceived usefulness and customer attitudes,which in turn it will affect on intention to use IB.The survey of 280 banking customers selected by purposive sampling technique from three largest banks in Indonesia,namely Bank Mandiri,Bank Central Asia(BCA),and Bank Rakyat Indonesia(BRI)were used to examine the proposed model.The data analysis used is Structural Equation Model with Partial Least Square approach.Key finding of this study shows that moderating effect of knowledge is significant,even though the moderating role of trust was significant partly.Knowledge moderates positively to the relationship between usefulness as well as ease-of-use and customersattitude towards IB.In addition,trust moderates negatively on the relationship between usefulness and attitudes,but is not supported to moderate the relationship between ease of use and customer attitude.The findings provided insights to how the role of knowledge and trust in TAM model,especially in increasing the adoption of IB.
