Objective Functional integration is essential to normal brain function, altemations of functional connectivity in patients with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) in resting-state have been explored by functional imaging techniques, but neurophysiologic connectivity measures with higher time resolution have not been systematically detected. The aims of present study were:i) To investigate the resting cortico-cortical functional coupling abnormalities of MDD by magnetoencephalography (MEG) recordings.ii) To explore whether the modifications of anomalous functional connectivity could be correlated with disease severity of depressive patients as expressed by Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HRDS) scores.
