There are many kinds of underwater anticorrosive technique, but the most popular manner is underwater coating corrosion prevention.The specialty of marine underwater environment requires harshly on the underwater coating material.This paper introduces the marine corrosion environment, and analyzes the difficulty of underwater coating and the necessary performance of underwater anticorrosive coating material.It also introduces kinds of typical underwater coating material and their characteristic, makes comparisons between them, and introduces the example of the material being applied in marine environmental.Then it puts forward its advice on selection of underwater anticorrosive coating material in offshore engineering.
