The bulk polymerization of acrylate was carried out with 2-ethyl hexyl acrylate and acrylic acid as copolymers and 819 as photoinitiator by continuous UV photoinitiation.A mixture of polyacrylate with weight-average molecular weight ranging from 400,000 to 600,000 and distribution ranging from 1.03 to 1.05 was obtained. The UV-curable acrylate pressure-sensitive adhesives were prepared as the main raw materials. The effects of irradiation energy, crosslinking agent content, initiator selection and curing energy of bulk polymerization on the properties of pressure sensitive adhesives were studied. The results showed that a series of UV pressure sensitive adhesives with high peeling and good heat resistance could be realized by formulation design.
