A simple model of rolling massage is presented and the blood flow in blood vessels is numerically simulated by the lattice Boltzmann method.The flux of blood is studied for different rolling massage frequencies,rolling massage depths,and diameters of blood vessels.It is found that there is a critical frequency,above which the rolling message has a positive influence,i.e.,the flux increases due to the message,when other parameters are fixed.The hydrodynamic force acting on the blood vessels is also studied.The model,together with the simulation results,is expected to be helpful to understand the mechanics of rolling massage technique.
