According to the propounded of the evolutionist theory of the firm, it is their"know-how" and their "organizational skills" that differentiate companies.The identityof the company is reflected in the image of the company that is perceived by itsenvironment and that the company can be influenced by its actions of communicationand public relations.The company is expanding the sphere of two parties to whom itmust report its partners to the whole society: it is said that the company becomes acitizen.This citizenship translates into interventions in different socio-cultural areas andtalk about Corporate Social Responsibility.
Thus, this essentially theoretical part has been devoted to the need for CorporateSocial Responsibility and its implementation within business management practices.Theresearch first focused on the genesis and evolution of the concept of corporate socialresponsibility.To achieve this, the researcher first identified the issues, risks and benefitsof implementing of social responsibility.
The first Part of this dissertation has reviewed most of the literature about corporatesocial responsibility.It constituted the part that provided theoretical clarifications on thetheme of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).The research presented its genesis, itsevolution, a consensual definition, its approach by the stakeholders, its instruments ofimplementation and control, its fields of application, its stakes and risks, and itsadvantages in a context of globalization.The researcher has also developed theinvolvement and role of international bodies in anchoring socially responsibleapproaches within the daily practices and activities of companies.
The second part of this thesis is mainly focused on the empirical study theresearcher conducted of the AREVA group in the form of questionnaires, which tracesthe path that followed throughout our research, from the constitution of our sample tothe results, which fully describes the approach taken in the collection, analysis andinterpretation of the data.
Based on this systematic research it can be concluded that AREVA has a goodstrategy towards CSR implementation.However, more efforts from the managerialsection needs to be devoted towards training employees on CSR strategy and practice.
On the other side, most of the public are barely aware if not totally unaware of the CRSscheme which calls for need of sensitization awareness from the company.
