1936年12月12日,张学良联合杨虎城发动西安事变,扣留蒋介石,逼其停止内战,联共抗日。同年12月25日,事变和平解决,张学良亲送蒋介石回南京。一般认为张学良羊落虎口,从此就以“待罪”或“获罪”之身,再也见不到蒋介石了。但是,随着蒋介石和张学良日记的解密,才披露出张学良送蒋介石回南京之后,二人曾有三次会见。
On December 12, 1936, Zhang Xueliang and Yang Hucheng launched the Xi’an Incident and detained Chiang Kai-shek forcing him to end the civil war and the United Anti-Japanese War. December 25 the same year, the incident resolved peacefully, Zhang Xueliang pro-Chiang Kai-shek sent back to Nanjing. It is generally believed that Chang Hsueh-liang has fallen by the wayside and has never see Chiang Kai-shek again since then. However, following the decryption of Chiang Kai-shek’s and Zhang’s lectures on diaries, they had disclosed that Zhang Xueliang had sent Chiang Kai-shek back to Nanjing after the two had met three times.
