Objective: To investigate the expression of cadherin and its intracellular binding protein in bladder transitional cell carcinoma and its significance in invasion, metastasis and prognosis of bladder cancer. Methods: Immunohistochemical SP method. Results: The expressions of ECD, α-, β- and β-Catenin in bladder cancer tissues were significantly lower than those in normal bladder tissues (58%, 28/50, 68%, and 52% 26/50). There were significant differences among different grades. The expression of each molecule in invasive bladder cancer was significantly lower than that in superficial bladder cancer. The survival rates of ECD, α-, γ-Catenin The expression was significantly higher than the survival of less than 5 years. CONCLUSIONS: The expression of ECD, α-, β-, γ-Catenin in bladder cancer is significantly lower than that in bladder cancer. The low expression of ECD, α-, β- and γ-Catenin is closely related to the high grade and invasiveness of bladder cancer. The detection of these molecules in bladder cancer patients has a certain prognosis value.
