河南省机械研究所和舞阳县机械厂共同研制的4LW(L)-140型联合收割机在1989年投放市场后,各地用户反映很好。该机有两种型式。4LW-140型的脱粒装置为卧式轴流脱粒机(目前厂方只生产此机型),4LL-140型的脱粒装置为立式轴流脱粒机。如图所示,拖拉机在行走过程中,上割台分禾器将作物分为待割和不割作物,拨禾轮将待割作物拨向上割台切割器,上割刀将作物穗头切断并由搅龙输送至右侧输送槽入口处,同时下割台割刀将作物茎秆切断,并由输送带输送至左侧,再铺放田间。输送槽将穗头输送至脱粒机,脱粒滚筒对作物脱粒、分离。作物茎秆由出草口排出机外,分离出的籽粒由输送搅龙送至左侧,再经风扇清选,干净籽粒便由清粮筒排出。接粮人员可在接粮台上用麻袋接粮。
