本文通过知觉同化与知觉区分两个实验,考察元音环境和二语经验在泰语母语者知觉加工汉语辅音中的作用,以及二语辅音知觉同化和区分的关系。研究发现,元音环境影响泰语母语者汉语辅音知觉同化和区分。舌面元音环境下,泰语母语者将汉语/tsh/-/s/对立中两个辅音分别同化到泰语/th/、/s/两个范畴,可以很好地区分二者;舌尖元音环境下,泰语母语者将两个辅音同化到泰语/s/一个范畴。二语学习前期,学习者为二语辅音形成的是依存于元音环境的样例表征,二语经验没有促进学习者对二语辅音对立的知觉区分。二语学习者对二语辅音的知觉同化影响了知觉区分。
In this paper, two experiments of perceptual assimilation and perceptual differentiation are conducted to investigate the role of vowel environment and second language experience in perceptual processing Chinese consonants of Thai native speakers, as well as the relationship between assimilation and discrimination of second consonants. It is found that the vowel environment influences the assimilation and differentiation of Chinese consonants in Thai speakers. In the vowel environment of the tongue, Thai native speakers assimilate the two consonants of Chinese / tsh / - / s / opposite to Thai / th /, / s / respectively, In vowel environments, Thai native speakers assimilate two consonants into Thai / s / a category. In the early stage of second language learning, learners ’formation of L2 consonants is a sample representation dependent on the vowel environment. Second language experience does not promote learners’ perceptual discrimination of L2 consonants. Perceptual assimilation of second language consonants by second language learners influences perceptual distinction.
