The HM series radial piston motors designed by Renoid Ltd. in the United Kingdom have many important structural features. The typical structure shown in FIG. 1 consists of six radial pistons supported on a four-section cam. The opposing plunger pairs are pressed against each other, so the force on the rotor is balanced, which allows the full load carrying capacity of the heavy-duty rotor bearings to be used to withstand lateral loads.
