双联万向节的结构汽车转向驱动轮必须用万向节驱动,而万向节的运转应是等速或接近等速的。过去曾试图采用普通的单十字轴万向节,但其传动角度只能在30°以下,转速范围较低且不能保证等速传动。目前,已有许多种用以传递中、低扭矩的等速万向节,其中大部分为球笼式。这种万向节的传动角度约为40°左右,生产方便,很适合小客车使用。
