On behalf of the Secretary for the People’s Republic of China, Entrusted by Secretary Wen Wenbin, China South China Think Tank Forum listed the marine economy as the theme of the forum. On behalf of the Guangdong Provincial Oceanic and Fisheries Bureau, I would like to extend my warm congratulation on the organization of the forum and express my heart-felt gratitude to all the experts and friends. Having the opportunity to communicate with you about the understanding of the marine economy and the future development of Guangdong, I simply report on the understanding of three aspects: First, the historical development of Guangdong is flourishing due to the sea. Second, Guangdong’s modern development is strong due to the sea. Third, the future development of Guangdong due to the sea and the United States.
