“海”是汉语中的一个基本词,常用词。《现代汉语词典》的解释为大洋靠近陆地的地方。大的湖泊也可称为海,如青海。《古汉语常用字字典》的解释为海洋。“四海”、“海内”:古人认为我国疆土四面滨海,因此称全国、国内为“四海”、“海内”。《说文解字》:海,天池也,以纳百川者,从水,每声。总之,以上这些对“海”的解释都跟水有关。难道从水旁的“海”就一定要与水有关吗?通过翻阅字典辞书,我们发现:原来“海”不仅仅可以用来表示与水相关的概念,无水也是可以称为“海”的——《汉语大字典》:“海,指荒远之地。”《汉语大词典》:“四邻各族居住的地域。”《尔雅.释地》“九夷,八狄,七戎,六蛮谓之四海”。郭璞注:“九夷在东,八狄在北,七戎在
