In the past six years, there has been a watch factory in Besançon, France, making an electronic watch. It consists of two batteries that supply electrical energy. Each battery is as large as a bean, weighing 1.8 grams and supplying 1 volt. There is an extremely small electric motor that converts electrical power into mechanical power, and its coil (40 mm long wire) has 10,000 turns. The power of the motor is 1.5 horsepower per billion. With the power necessary for a 100-litre lamp, you can start 10 million electronic watches. The electronic watch does not tick. Its beating is completely different from that of ordinary watches. Electronic watches are less susceptible to atmospheric pressure than other kinds of watches. It is similar to mechanical watches in terms of weight and appearance. It’s just that it has no development bar. It is also slightly lighter than the tables we use.
