August 14, 2014 Wilmington, DE - Growers have benefited from the planting season in 2015 and are particularly prominent in the preparation of clean beds and the management of resistant herbicides. DuPont Crop Protection has released AfforiaTM, a pre-plant herbicide, for use in soybeans and other field crops, following EPA registration approval. The product has excellent killing and residue control effects on many hard-weeds. AfforiaTM can be mixed with glyphosate or 2,4-D LVE prior to crop planting, killing multiple weeds prior to planting. Field trials have shown that Afforia ™ exerts a killing effect on annual annual weeds, dandelions and wild rapeseed in winter, while the herbicide broadleaf weeds have residual control
