苏州大学在昆剧传习所的协助下创办中文系昆剧艺术本科专业,本来就是一个令人惊异而兴奋的新闻,但真正引起我的深思还是在今年初有幸访问、了解了该班教学之后。仅仅一年多的学习,20名本科生,一名日本留学生和5名进修生,竟已均能拍曲、吹笛,唱念、身段且都十分规矩,能作乐队小合奏,会识简谱、五线谱和工尺谱,尤其艺术的学习紧密联系着对其神韵的体味与方法的把握,而且文化各科成绩亦竟为中文系最优秀的一个班,真不由人从心底为之赞叹! 苏州大学的这一创举,其意义并不仅限于戏曲开进了大学,或是对中文系文学史、戏曲史课程形象化教学的改善,以及对新一代戏曲工作者文化修
