即墨市地处青岛近郊,全市总面积1780平方公里,总人口103万,耕地面积136万亩,现辖30处乡镇、1033个行政村。党的十届三中会以来,即墨百万人民在党的基本路线指引下,高扬改革的风帆,冲出产品经济和传统农业的狭隘天地,向“小康”目标奋力前进。1990年,全市社会总产值达到50亿元、国民生产总值17.6亿元、工农业总产值37.3亿元、财政收入9162万元,分别比1978年增长5.67倍、2.6倍、5.7倍和4.3倍;粮食总产量57.57万吨、花生总产量6.26万吨、水产品总量2.69
