习语是特定语言和文化的精髓所在。归化和异化是翻译的两种文化策略,它们虽然本质不同,某些原则相反,但都可以以适当的方式应用于习语的翻译中,为中西文化交流服务。
Idioms are the essence of a particular language and culture. Domestication and alienation are two cultural strategies of translation. Although they are different in nature and some of the principles are opposite, they can all be applied to the translation of idioms in an appropriate way to serve for the exchange of Chinese and Western cultures.
