The State Key Laboratory of Coastal and Offshore Engineering is located at Dalian Polytechnic College. Laboratory in July 1990 through the national acceptance, the official opening. Chinese Academy of Sciences Professor Qiu Dahhong served as laboratory director, Professor Li Yucheng served as deputy director of the laboratory. In order to strengthen academic leadership in laboratory research and laboratory construction, an academic committee composed of 19 in-house and outside experts (13 of whom are outside school) was set up.
