The project is funded by the Swedish National Innovation Agency Vinnova, Innventia and Billerud Korsns. As early as 2010, Innventia established a pilot plant for nanocellulose in its research institute in Stockholm. The pilot plant will provide enough product for the research and development of nanocellulose in papermaking applications. The nanocellulose demonstration plant, co-founded by Innventia and Billerud Korsns, will be manufactured using a paper machine that produces paper and board.
