大学语文是高等教育的基础学科之一,它是理、工、农、医、艺、法、经济等非中文专业的一门重要的公共基础课。教育部高教司颁布的《大学语文教学大纲》指出:“在全日制高校设置大学语文课程,其根本目的在于,充分发挥语文学科的人文性和基础性特点,适应当代人文科学与自然科学日益交叉渗透的发展趋势,为我国的社会主义现代化建设目标培养具有全面素质的高质量人才。”2004年10月召开的全国大学语文研究会第十届年会上就大学语文教学
College Chinese is one of the basic disciplines of higher education.
