People have no good days, flowers without amaurosis. Since the second half of 2012, the price of coal has continued to drop. The industry once enveloped in high profits and high growth is generally considered to have bid farewell to the “Golden Decade.” Taking Qinhuangdao Port’s 5,000 kcal per kilogram of coal as an example, it was 695 yuan per ton at the beginning of 2012 and 670 yuan at the end of May. By June, coal prices dropped sharply, reaching 560 yuan on June 27. Within a month, tons of coal dropped by 110 yuan. Think of the highest coal price in 2011 750 yuan, can be described as “flying down three thousand feet.” Such a big decline in such a short period of time, rare in history. Industry insiders lamented that the situation was worse than in the financial crisis in 2008, and the coal price in 1998 continued to decline slowly, let alone in the same breath.
