为了缓和陆路邮运紧张的压力,作为我国重要海港城市的大连,充分发挥海路邮运的优势是理所当然的。可是大连局邮用场地狭小,分线场地仅有600平米。而每天要接发车、船、飞机50多个频次,全年日平均达1万多邮袋。如迂海陆空邮路的邮件同时到达,场地矛盾就更为突出。1980年邮电部给我局下达上海—大连海上邮路任务,上海到东北三省、内蒙东部四盟的邮件很多,我局压力很大,困难重重。
