首先从工程应用的角度,提出了工程设计中虚拟装配的定义,并对其基本思想以及复杂工程设计中的关键建模技术进行了探讨;对于工程设计采用建模与仿真分析相结合的交互式设计方法,通过设计、建模、仿真分析再修改设计的反复迭代直至满足工程要求;并首次将虚拟装配技术应用于磁悬浮列车动车段工程的设计中,通过实现场景漫游、工艺流程动态仿真和碰撞检测验证工程设计的合理性和可靠性,取得了良好的效果.工程实际应用表明虚拟装配技术在工程设计中的应用为复杂工程设计提供了一种直观、可靠的设计方法.
