In the past we taught students how to draw, which is a highly individual skills. With the advent of BIM, a new paradigm arises that can now be drawn from the knowledge models collected from partners during the collaboration process, while individual skill values also give way to leading concurrency knowledge It’s The future students need to have a sense of cooperation, the problem is that although the demand for collaborative awareness is generally accepted, but how to meet this demand, the relevant aspects of teaching is still not enough. Collaboration is not accidental. As there is certainly a multi-stakeholder engagement, trust needs to be carefully and cautiously built in collaboration and inter-industry collaboration helps recognize how to achieve the goal of creating trust, as compared with design and construction cooperation. Trust comes from three steps: “The formation, implementation and development.” The first step “forming” refers to a calculation that includes a cooperation agreement that provides the BIM Addendum to the Consensus States Format 301 (BIM), BIM Executive plan and confidentiality agreement. The second step, “implementation”, is to promote mutual understanding, that is, to test the agreement formulated during the execution of this plan in this step, and if successful, to promote understanding. If it fails, it will produce suspicion. The third step “development ” and the connection. Linking trust is the result of evolution under certain circumstances, which can lead to stable and sustained relationships. Successful collaboration helps to achieve long-term cooperation agreements that are increasingly linked to CM-at-Risk, Design-Build and Integrated Project Delivery (IPD). This article will focus on and discuss these three steps and will serve as an example of a comprehensive project delivery studio at California State Polytechnic University in Obispo, San Luis Obispo.
