忻口会战是平津失陷和淞沪会战开始之后中国军队组织的一次以保卫太原为目的的大会战。战役从1937年10月13日至11月2日,历时21天。参加作战的部队有阎锡山的晋绥军、国民党的中央军和中国共产党领导的八路军(又称第18集团军)。这次战役是由第二战区(司令长官阎锡山,朱德、卫立煌、黄绍竑为副司令)指挥实施的太原会战的中心战役。该战役创歼敌逾万的纪录,
Xinkou Campaign is the General Assembly battle for the purpose of defending Taiyuan organized by the Chinese army after the Pingjin loss and the start of the Songhu Battle. The battle lasted 21 days from October 13 to November 2, 1937. The troops participating in the operations include Jinsui Sui, Yan Xishan, the Central Army of the Kuomintang and the Eighth Route Army (also called the 18th Army) under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party.
