自20世纪90年代以来,艺术家徐冰一直用汉字来颠覆各种形式的文化。其中《天书》、《新英语书法》、《地书》是他的主要作品。他认为在中国当代艺术中几乎没有创造性的东西,也可以说,当代艺术“危险无处不在”。在当代艺术中,徐冰的确是一个大胆而又敢于颠覆传统的人。然而当代艺术只有颠覆才能创新吗?当代艺术家怎样去对待传统?笔者将从传统的重要性,当代艺术家对待传统的方式以及怎样站在历史发展的角度去看待继承与创新等方面进行讨论。
Since the 1990s, artist Xu Bing has used Chinese characters to subvert various forms of culture. One of the “Bible”, “New English Calligraphy”, “Book” is his main works. He believes that there is almost no creative thing in contemporary Chinese art. In other words, contemporary art is “dangerous everywhere.” In contemporary art, Xu Bing is indeed a bold and daring to subvert the traditional people. However, contemporary art can only be subversive for innovation? How can contemporary artists treat the tradition? The author will discuss the importance of tradition, the ways in which contemporary artists treat tradition, and how to stand by history and inherit and innovate.
