On March 6, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez passed away. The leader of the oil-producing powerhouse carries the dream of “becoming a powerful nation” and will integrate its ruling philosophy with the country’s oil revenues to try to change the country’s destiny. During his tenure, Chávez has experienced the benefits of soaring oil prices. However, Venezuela has limited its production and sales prices by failing to obtain oil pricing power and has also tried to abandon the use of the U.S. dollar instead of the euro to settle currencies. So, Chavez’s death, the oil trend in China and the world will have what kind of impact?
