迄今诱变基因在育种工作者培育优良品系的成果上仅起微小作用。如水稻这种自花授粉作物更是这样。突变结果的不能预示性及对突变过程缺乏足够知识,都会妨碍诱变作为育种计划上的一种有效工具而加以应用。这种复杂情况因许多经济特征具有多基因性质而进一步增大,从而抵消了任何对其改变为理想目的企图。对水稻创造多基因突变的遗传变异,曾为日本人小河(1958年)、河尾(1960年)与真岛和川居等(1956与1958年)列为专题研究对象。但我们现在关于控制数量性状的基因易变性知识仍感不足。本研究企图提供关于“ADT-25”品种(表现于稻穗性状)对辐射反应的摘要报导。
To date, mutagenic genes play only minor roles in breeders’ efforts to develop good strains. Such as rice, self-pollinating crops is even more so. The unpredictability of mutation results and the lack of adequate knowledge of the mutation process can hinder the application of mutagenesis as an effective tool in breeding programs. This complex situation is further exacerbated by the polygenic nature of many economic characteristics, thus nullifying any attempt to change it to the ideal. The genetic variation in the creation of polygenic mutations in rice has been the subject of study for Japanese Xiaohe (1958), Hewei (1960) and Mashima and Kawasaki (1956 and 1958). However, we still do not have enough knowledge of gene mutagenesis to control quantitative traits. This study attempts to provide a summary report of the radiation response to the “ADT-25” variety, which is expressed in the panicle traits.
