The problem of financing for SMEs is a prominent issue commonly faced by most countries and regions in the world. In recent years, there has been a rapid growth in various alternative financing market intermediaries such as crowdfunding in the UK, personal loans to individuals, and invoice transactions, especially in 2013. The main economic and social factors that led to the emergence and development of alternative financing in the United Kingdom are: the tendency of entrepreneurship in the middle-aged and elderly people, the negative impact of financial reforms, the obstacles brought by economic and social factors to entrepreneurship financing, Web-based financial transactions widely used. The British government, on the one hand, has taken effective measures to regulate alternative financing for SMEs, and on the other hand, it has also provided grants. UK alternative financing has provided strong financial support to many of its start-ups and SMEs at different stages of development and has contributed to the steady development of SMEs to a large extent. The new ideas, new trends and new modes of docking these resources and financial resources in the United Kingdom deserve attention, analysis and research.
