The China Institute of Atomic Energy’s pool reactor SPR has been in operation for 24 years. The main purpose of the analysis is to estimate the overall safety of the heap for continued operation in the future. The entire analysis was conducted in accordance with the PSA Guidelines, with particular focus on: (1) Familiarity with the safety and safety related systems and operational experience with the heap; (2) Inspection and testing of the status of the heap and running equipment, including those that are rarely used (3) Establishing success criteria for accident sequence analysis; (4) Analyzing redundant backup systems using simple Markov processes; (5) Taking into account human error in detail, (6) development of the EXSETS program to enhance the level 1 PSA calculations, including uncertainty, recovery, importance and sensitivity calculations; (7) taking into account post-incident recovery operations is particularly important for support systems and recovery operations .
