In recent years, the transition metal-catalyzed tandem reaction can construct multiple chemical bonds under the “one-pot” condition, of which palladium-catalyzed tandem reactions have attracted much attention. The literature about the synthesis of benzocycloheptaheterocycles and their derivatives from palladium-catalyzed tandem reactions since 2000 is summarized.
