The designed Ru (p-cymene) HClPCy3, a mononuclear ruthenium complex with negative hydrogen ligand, catalyzed norbornene ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) The catalytic activity of norbornene proves that the mononuclear catalyst needs to contain both chlorine atom ligands and the reaction mechanism is proposed.
