考古学为我们研究人类史前文明提供了可靠的第一手资料,展示了中华远古祖先的生活图景。六十年来,特别是解放以来的田野考古发掘,使我们对中国境内石器时代文化的分布和内涵情况有了一个大概的认识。但必须承认,我们现在离彻底认清中国文化的来龙去脉还相去甚远。产生这种状况的原因,一方面是由于田野工作还没有提供足够多的材料,有些文化环节尚无法衔接,但同我们的研究方法存在某些缺陷深度和广度也不无关系。
Archeology provides us with reliable first-hand information on the study of human prehistoric civilization and demonstrates the life of ancient Chinese ancestry. Over the past 60 years, field archeological excavations, especially since liberation, have given us a general idea of the distribution and connotation of the Stone Age culture in China. However, we must admit that we still have a long way to go before we can fully understand the ins and outs of Chinese culture. The reasons for this are partly because there are still not enough materials for field work and some cultural links are not yet available, but they are not unrelated to the depth and breadth of some of our research methods.
